Well, this task won’t be as troubling as getting those gift cards. To redeem a code on Xbox, all you need is your console, Xbox One or Xbox 360 and this article will make it more easy for you to redeem a code on the Xbox Console.

Although Microsoft has provided all the necessary documentation on its website to help you out, it’s way too formal. We will continue our legacy to offer users all the different possible ways to redeem a code on Xbox and downloadable content.

So, whether you’re looking to redeem it on your console, or through your laptops’ browser or using the Xbox app for Android and iOS, we got it all covered up.

So, let’s get started on how to redeem a code on Xbox.

Method 1 – How to redeem Xbox code on your Console?

Well, there are two different ways to redeem Codes on Xbox One console. You can do so with your controller, or using the Kinect sensor.

Supposedly, If you own a Kinect then you can use your Kinect to redeem a printed Xbox One gift card, giveaway voucher or any other QR code.

The download key could be in the QR code and you can use it to redeem your Xbox Live Code within a minute. But if you don’t have a Kinect, however, you can still type in the code manually but it would take longer.

Step 1: Using the Kinect Sensor

If your Kinect is connected in, just call out using the voice command “Xbox, use a code” which will make your console jump to the input screen.

Here, you will have the option of entering both a 25-digit code or scanning the QR code or your Free Xbox Live Codes or Gift Cards using the Kinect’s built-in sensor.

Now, all you need to do is just hold the code in front of the Kinect’s camera, and it will automatically scan it for you.

If you don’t, just tap the right bumper on your controller and it will bring up the Store. You can then use a code option under the Games section to avail it.

NOTE: The Kinect Sensor is able to scan & read QR Codes as far as 6 feet.

Step 2: Manually entering the Code

The Xbox Live Codes contain a unique 25-digit number and it doesn’t provide you with any other method to enter the information. If this is the option you want to go with, just keep your 25-character code ready and use your controller to enter the digits carefully.

(The hyphens will be added automatically, so don’t worry about it.)

Once you are done with entering and confirming the numbers, you can see the list of the downloadable content you can install on your Xbox One or 360. Just select confirm, and you’re done!

Smart Glass

Along with the Kinect or Manual entering, there’s the Smartglass app that you can use as a remote keyboard for entering Xbox Live Codes.

This would be probably easier than manually typing from the controller.

Method 2 – Redeem Xbox code in your Browser

Step 1: The process for redeeming your Xbox Live Codes is very straightforward if you’re using Microsoft’ site.

First, open up the Xbox website and sign into your Xbox account using your credentials. You can see the menu in the upper-right corner. After logging in, you can see the same menu displaying “Redeem Code” option as well.

Choose this and you’ll be directed to a page where you have to manually enter the 25-digit code.

Since you were using the tricks on our website i.e. NoHumanVerification, chances are you’ve found your code in your email.

Now, carefully enter the number into the text box, and click on Redeem to get your downloadable content.

Step 2: Now to download and install the content using your Xbox Live Code, you need to manually install the games on your console whenever you’re ready to play.

To achieve this, go to My games and find the game and apps which you wish to download. Now, press the Menu button on the Xbox One controller (it’s the same button where the Start button used to be in Xbox 360), and select manage game.

Here, you’ll find an option marked as “Ready to install“. Just click it and select the install option.

If you’d like to get a more detailed information about the process, Microsoft has a step-by-step walkthrough on the Xbox Website. You can check it out here :

Step 2: Just like the Browser method mentioned above, you also have to manually download and install the games on your Xbox One once you claim the Xbox Live Codes through the mobile app.
